Sheridan Ross P.C. is pleased to announce that three of its attorneys have been recognized in this year’s IP STARS rankings from Managing IP, one of the most widely followed guides to intellectual property practitioners worldwide.
Thaine Lennox-Gentle and Eric Bomkamp were both named Rising Stars, a designation reserved for up-and-coming IP practitioners in private practice whose work has contributed meaningfully to the success of their firms and clients. Sabrina Stavish was recognized as a Notable Practitioner.
Thaine’s practice centers on patent prosecution in the mechanical, electro-mechanical, process, and software engineering fields. He brings more than a decade of hands-on engineering experience to that work, having previously served as vice president of engineering for an automation company — a background that shapes how he collaborates with inventors and engineers to translate complex technical concepts into durable patent protection.
Eric focuses on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications across the electrical, mechanical, and computer software industries. As a former patent examiner with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, he offers clients an uncommon vantage point on the prosecution process, drawing on firsthand knowledge of how examiners evaluate applications to shape claims that hold up.
Sabrina, a shareholder in the firm’s trademark practice, advises companies across virtually every industry on brand management and strategy, including domestic and international trademarks, copyrights, and domain name matters. Over the course of her career she has filed thousands of trademark applications with the USPTO and has handled proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and the Federal Circuit.
