Sheridan Ross Elects Three New Shareholders

Sheridan Ross is excited to announce that Matt Holohan, Dean Reinhardt, and Scott Weitzel were elected as shareholders, effective January 1, 2022. All three are standout attorneys who excel at protecting their clients’ intellectual assets; they are also exemplary leaders who consistently help their clients and colleagues in all matters. We are pleased to have them join the firm’s partnership.

Matt Holohan is an experienced business and legal advisor who excels at counseling clients through high-stakes intellectual property disputes. He represents national and international companies in various matters but focuses on intellectual property litigation and related issues. Matt roots his counsel in the day-to-day business realities his clients face, offering strategic advice throughout the litigation process and counseling on non-litigation business strategies. With a background in physics, Matt’s experience translates to a wide range of technologies, including electrical engineering, computer hardware and software, telecommunications, mechanical devices, and consumer products.

Dean Reinhardt’s practice focuses on the patent prosecution of a full range of technologies, including metal packaging technology, medical devices, aerospace, and mechanical assemblies, and software industries. Dean enjoys working alongside his clients to understand the inventions his clients provide in their entirety. Dean’s efficiency, attention to detail, and punctuality demonstrate he is well-equipped to provide expert support to his clients in a cost-effective manner. Before joining the firm, Dean served in the United States Air Force Judge Advocate General’s Corps and retired in 2013. Dean has more than a decade of legal experience supporting U.S. Air Force operations with extensive experience reviewing space systems and providing legal support to space operations.

Scott Weitzel is a natural problem solver whose practice focuses on patent applications and the prosecution of computer hardware and software, electronics, and business methods. As a registered patent attorney with over a decade and a half of experience in intellectual property, Scott has successfully prepared and prosecuted hundreds of patent applications with various high-tech enterprises. He has also secured patents for his own inventions.  Scott’s clients benefit from his technical knowledge, business background, and entrepreneurial spirit. His clients rely on his ability to develop and execute an IP strategy that fits their business objectives as well as their budgets.
