Hiwot Covell named to CU Law School Alumni Board

Sheridan Ross Associate Hiwot Covell has been named to the University of Colorado Law Alumni Board. Composed of 28 Colorado Law graduates, the members promote the best interests of the Law School by stimulating interest in, building loyalty for, and increasing support for the Law School among its alumni and students. In addition, the board assists the law school in serving the needs of its alumni, students, and faculty, the legal profession, and the public at large.

A 2009 graduate of the University of Colorado School of Law, Covell also earned her bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Colorado in 2001. Covell’s practice focuses on patent litigation and patent prosecution for chemical, biological and mechanical processes and devices.

While in law school, Covell held an externship with the Honorable Arthur P. Roy of the Colorado Court of Appeals and the Honorable Gilbert M. Roman of the Colorado Court of Appeals. She also served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal on Telecommunications and High Technology Law and President of the Student Bar Association.
