David Lundgren is a Patent Agent with deep experience supporting clients across a wide range of advanced technologies, including semiconductors, artificial intelligence, GPU software and hardware, energy-efficient circuit design, and software applications. He focuses his practice on preparing and prosecuting patent applications, helping innovators protect complex inventions in fast-evolving technical fields.

Before joining Sheridan Ross, David worked as a Patent Agent at Analog Devices and Mintz, where he handled patent preparation and prosecution for technologies spanning generative AI, edge AI, LLMs, robotics, medical devices, semiconductors, circuitry, and database software. Earlier in his career, he spent more than a decade at Kowert Hood, where he developed extensive experience working with convolutional neural networks, machine learning, microprocessor architecture, GPU and mobile graphics, cloud computing, and encryption.

David’s technical background is grounded in hands-on engineering experience. He has designed FPGA-based systems, including JPEG encoder and floating-point IP cores, and contributed to the development of a wireless medical monitoring device. He also worked as a systems engineer at Viasat, supporting satellite communications programs for the U.S. Department of Defense, and led integration efforts for advanced communications systems.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Princeton University.
