Doug’s practice focuses on the development and enforcement of patent and other IP rights both domestically and abroad.
With a strong technical background, he is named inventor on 40 U.S. and foreign patent applications. His diverse experience in the world of telecom has allowed him to gain expertise in patent writing and processing in the United States and many foreign jurisdictions. A software architect and engineer, he delivers a unique skill set with an ability to understand the legal and technical programming code requirements and function. In addition, Doug’s extensive background and experience in open-source analysis help him analyze open source licenses by identifying and delivering technical solutions designed to reduce risks associated with open-source software.
