Suren Bhuvan's practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the electrical, computer hardware, and software industries.
Prior to joining Sheridan Ross, Suren worked at a software company where he managed a team of engineers and ensured the quality of products released to consumers. As part of that work, he would gather metrics to inform business decisions on new products while driving ethics to the center of business. “My previous experience with having to understand the software that was sent for review, and digging in to find any gaps has come to help me anticipate any reasons for objections or rejections during my application writing.”
While in law school, Suren worked full-time as a Quality Engineer at Charter Communications. He also advised as a student attorney where he litigated on a pro bono basis for abused spouses in the Denver District and Denver County Courts. “When people don’t understand the law that is when they are taken advantage of, and it was during this time I realized I could compile my passion for technology and the law,” he says.
Suren received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Northern Arizona University. He earned his law degree from the University of Denver Strum College of Law.
