Summary of Practice:
Brian Ignat is a patent agent with patent prosecution
experience primarily in the areas of electrical engineering
and computer science. His practice includes all aspects of
patent prosecution in a variety of areas including telecommunications,
data networks, analog and digital circuits, computer peripherals,
and embedded systems. In the field of mechanical engineering,
Brian has also prepared and prosecuted numerous patent applications,
including a variety of medical device and general mechanical
inventions.
Prior to joining Sheridan Ross, Brian was
a systems engineer with LSI Logic Corporation where his work included
host bus adapter circuit board design, as well as design
verification and protocol compliance testing for SCSI processors.
As a research assistant at the Center for Integrated Electronics
at Rensselear Polytechnic Institute, Brian participated
in the development of a high speed GaAs reduced instruction
set processor. Brian is also a certified teacher of
English as a second language and has lived abroad in both China
and Nepal.
