Summary of Practice:
Matt Ellsworth is a patent agent with experience in patent
drafting, prosecution, and analysis. Matt handles many
complex electrical and software technologies including
telephony, television, commodities trading, communication
networks, secure access systems, optics, communication
protocols, encryption, web-based businesses, information
storage systems, feedback and control systems, power transmission,
power machinery, high current electronics, and low current
electronics. Matt also has experience in non-electrical
related technologies such as mechanical patents and business
method patents. Matt is also currently attending night
law school at the University of Denver.
Matt graduated from
the Colorado School of Mines with a Bachelors degree
in Engineering with an Electrical Specialty. Thereafter, he
received his Masters degree in Engineering Technology
Management from the Colorado School of Mines. Prior to joining
Sheridan Ross, Matt worked in a musculoskeletal research laboratory
that employed advanced image processing techniques to perform
in vivo studies of human motion, specifically for patients
who had undergone various types of orthopedic surgery. While
at the research laboratory, Matt was responsible for the
imaging equipment and processes used in performing the studies
as well as organizing and conducting patient studies.
