Law
Summary of Practice:
Miriam Trudell has experience in
all areas of trademark, copyright and domain name law. Her
practice includes advising clients on domestic trademark
protection and maintenance, including searching, clearing,
filing and prosecuting. She also has experience with regard
to Ex
Parte practice and Opposition/Cancellation practice
in front of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s
Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Her trademark practice
includes advising clients and assisting with building and
maintaining international trademark portfolios, including
international trademark clearance, protection, prosecution
and maintenance.
Miriam’s practice
also includes advising clients in the areas of copyright
law, including the filing and prosecution of copyright
registration applications with the U.S. Copyright Office.
Miriam also counsels clients on domain name disputes and
has prosecuted a number of Uniform Domain Name Dispute
Resolution Policy (UDRP) proceedings. Further, she counsels
clients with regard to policing, enforcing, defending and
licensing their intellectual property rights.
Miriam was an adjunct Prof.
at the University of Denver School of Law in the Summer of
2003, teaching the trademark, copyright, comparative advertising
and domain name portions of the General
Principals of Intellectual Property class. Notable cases include In
