Trademark and Copyright Law
Summary of Practice:
Mrs. Stavish’s practice includes trademark
law, both domestic and international, copyrights, e-commerce,
internet and licensing. Her primary areas of expertise are
in brand management and strategy, trademark clearance, trademark
prosecution, trademark and copyright infringement, copyright
protection and registration, domain name disputes under the
Uniform Domain Name Resolution Proceeding, and ex-parte appeals
before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and Federal Circuit
Court of Appeals. Her international experience includes Madrid
Protocol filings, European Community filings and national
filings throughout the world through a network of foreign
trademark experts.
With respect to drafting,
Mrs. Stavish is experienced in drafting licenses and assignments,
web site policies, such as terms of use and privacy policies
that comply with the Children’s On-line Privacy and
Protection Act, and intellectual property related contracts,
releases and other business documents.
Mrs. Stavish was an adjunct
Prof. at the University of Denver School of Law in 2001 and
2002, teaching a summer school class on the General Principals
of Intellectual Property. Mrs. Stavish successfully briefed
and argued In re Coors, 343 F. 3d 1340, 68 USPQ2d
