Summary of Practice:
Mr. Kugler’s primary focus of practice includes patent prosecution in the areas of mechanical, electromechanical, chemical and process engineering related to the oil and gas, chemical and manufacturing industries. Other areas of practice include technology licensing and prosecuting design patents to assure protection for product configurations and unique ornamental shapes. Mr. Kugler has successfully prosecuted over 300 patents at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and his practice includes counseling clients interested in obtaining utility and design patents in foreign countries, as well as providing non-infringement and invalidity opinions. Mr. Kugler currently sits on the board of Technology Transfer at the Colorado School of Mines, and is a registered professional engineer in the state of Colorado.
