Summary of Practice:
Ian Walsworth is an associate whose primary emphasis is in intellectual property litigation and alternative dispute resolution. Ian has represented clients in patent and trademark infringement and misappropriation of trade secret actions in Federal Court, defended against claims of copyright infringement, and participated in numerous mediations and arbitrations, including with the American Arbitration Association.
A substantial portion of his practice is in patent prosecution, and he is experienced in a variety of different art groups ranging from chemical to software to business methods. Ian’s practice frequently involves preparing licensing and technology related agreements, and he regularly counsels clients with regard to policing, enforcing, defending and advancing their intellectual property rights.
Prior to joining Sheridan
Ross P.C., Ian worked as a controls engineer, providing
services on a number of large-scale automation projects.
His experience involved working closely with business and
engineering professionals, from both privately held companies
and international corporations. These experiences have allowed
Ian to develop the ability to address objectives and provide
solutions at all levels of the enterprise.
