During more than 20 years as a patent attorney, Brad has excelled at partnering with clients worldwide to identify innovations and secure protection for those innovations. Clients who work with Brad appreciate his sincere and keen interest in understanding their ideas and the importance of those ideas to their businesses. He identifies protectable aspects of their innovations, accurately presents them in patent documents, and then advocates for them at every step of the patent prosecution and post-issuance process. In addition to global patent preparation and prosecution, Brad works with clients to develop comprehensive intellectual property protection strategies; handle patentability, non-infringement, validity, and freedom-to-operate opinions; and develop licensing, transfer, and other intellectual property-related agreements.

Throughout his life, Brad has been interested in learning about technology. Areas in which he is particularly proficient include antennas, optics, photonics, image sensors, LiDAR, spacecraft and related systems, solid-state memory devices, communications and networking systems, composites, software, and mechanical devices. He also has extensive experience with medical devices, telecommunications, cybersecurity, solar power systems, mining systems, fishing tackle, fuel cells, and design patents. He has drafted many hundreds of patent applications and has assisted in obtaining thousands of granted patents. His clients include billion-dollar consumer electronics companies; multi-million-dollar aerospace companies; medium-sized firms providing highly focused product offerings in a variety of spaces; smaller firms; start-ups; and individuals.

In addition to his engineering background and his legal experience, he holds a bachelor of arts degree in philosophy. Brad enjoys collaborating with inventors and leveraging his many years of expertise to ensure that their inventions are properly protected.
